A dull thud then, now hammering,
Shallow breath blurring the glass.
Through vapor my half self shining
With droplets of a futile bath,
Marks marring the silent landscape
That never rejects,protests, escapes.
The salt of moisture rolling down
The smooth cheek, a pitiful frown,
The breathing painful, strained.
Moving ribs showing, barely concealed,
The ringing loud, the hammering
Louder, beating. finally reveal
My stature. Cover up the longing.
The door breaking.
Cover up, the world will see,
No place there for self pity.
Shallow breath blurring the glass.
Through vapor my half self shining
With droplets of a futile bath,
Marks marring the silent landscape
That never rejects,protests, escapes.
The salt of moisture rolling down
The smooth cheek, a pitiful frown,
The breathing painful, strained.
Moving ribs showing, barely concealed,
The ringing loud, the hammering
Louder, beating. finally reveal
My stature. Cover up the longing.
The door breaking.
Cover up, the world will see,
No place there for self pity.
